Jaguars stuff Wetumpka
Spain Park used an aerial assault and a suffocating defense to defeat Wetumpka 24 - 13.
Mickey Forrest accounted for two-thirds of the offense, as Spain Park continued its undefeated season with a 24 - 13 win over Wetumpka High School.
Forrest passed for 177 yards and completed 60 percent of his passes as the field general for the Jaguars. Otis Harris added two touchdowns as the Jaguars built a 24-6 lead until a late Wetumpka touchdown narrowed the final margin.
E.J. Marino led the defense with ten tackles and Perry Young added eight stops, as the Spain Park defense limited the Wetumpka attack to only 190 total yards.
Next week, the Jaguars travel to Montgomery for a clash with traditional power Robert E. Lee High.
