1212 Spain Park wrestling
Spain Park High School had six undefeated wrestlers in Vestavia Duals this year.
On Saturday, the Spain Park Jags participated in the Vestavia Duals.
In the two-pool competition, Spain Park lost the first match to Vestavia Hills B, 42-37. The Jags rebounded in the second match, defeating Calera 48-36. In the third match, Spain Park defeated Team X 57-18; and in the final pool match defeated Wewahitchka, Fla., 51-24.
The Jags had six undefeated wrestlers in pool competition:
145- Leon Strong, three pins and one forfeit
152- Dillon Osborne, two pins, one decision and one forfeit
160- Marcus Jackson, three pins and one forfeit
182- Kevin McClure, three pins and one major decision
195- Johnathan Mote, one pin and three forfeits
220- Blake Daniel, two pins and two forfeits
