Hoover schools Superintendent Kathy Murphy tonight plans to talk more about the school system’s financial picture during tonight’s school board meeting.
Murphy on July 19 gave a financial update that included an overview of finances and focused on local sources of funding.
Tonight’s talk will focus more on state and federal sources of funding, school board member Craig Kelley said. See the slideshow that covers both talks here.
Also at tonight’s school board meeting, Tim Westhoven, the city of Hoover’s assistant executive director, is scheduled to give a report to the school board about the $76 million sports complex and indoor event center being built next to Hoover Metropolitan Stadium.
Tonight’s school board meeting is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Farr Administration Building at 2810 Metropolitan Way.
