Customers look over their selected plants before purchasing them at the 2015 Spring Plant Sale at Aldridge Gardens. This year’s sale will be May 6-7, with a members-only preview sale Thursday, May 5.
Aldridge Gardens in Hoover will host its annual spring plant sale on Friday, May 6, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., and Saturday, May 7, from 9 a.m.-noon.
There will be a members-only preview sale Thursday, May 5, from 4-7 p.m. Members will get a 10 percent discount on purchases.
Customers can own a little bit of Aldridge Gardens when they purchase a pass-along plant that lived there. The sale will also include many plants such as ajuga, bog iris, Stella D’Oro daylilies and Lenten roses. The sale will also include plants from members and friends of the facility.
Shoppers will find many varieties and sizes of hydrangeas including Snowflake and Edgy Hearts as well as azalea, bee balm, hosta, lavendula and butterfly bush.
Volunteers will assist customers with selections and provide tips for care and maintenance of all selections.
Aldridge Gardens, open daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., is at 3530 Lorna Road, Hoover. Admission to the event is free.
