Gary Palmer celebrates with his wife and three children after the announcement he won Alabama’s 6th Congressional District race in November.
U.S. Representative Gary Palmer announced Jan. 9 that he will co-sponsor Rep. Robert Aderholt's bill to block the Obama Administration's attempt to grant amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants by executive fiat. This bill will block funds to implement executive amnesty.
“President Obama has created a constitutional crisis, and members of the Congress are obligated by their own oaths to the constitution to respond to the crisis. This legislation does that and would restore constitutional balance between the branches of government. By taking this action, Congress reasserts its constitutional powers and establishes a foundation for opposing future executive orders that usurp Congressional authority," Palmer said.
Palmer also announce that he will co-sponsor the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, which would make abortion illegal after 20 weeks of gestation. At this age, scientific evidence demonstrates that babies are capable of feeling pain.
