The City of Hoover held its 18th annual Household Hazardous Waste Day in the parking lot at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium Saturday.
Residents were able to drop off a host of items, including unwanted paint, batteries, tires, automotive fluids, fireworks, prescription drugs and firearms.
The Foundry Rescue and Recovery Center also collected electronic items to refurbish and recycle.
