The former Regions Park is back in the hands of the City of Hoover following the BirminghamBarons’ departure, and its future will boast festivals, major sporting tournamentsand more.
With the SEC Baseball Tournament coming up, the City of Hoover and the Hoover Area Chamber of Commerce are partnering on a hospitality project.
During the Southeastern Conference Baseball Tournament, scheduled for May 20-25 at the Hoover Metropolitan Stadium, the City and Chamber will pass out 150 gift bags in the RV Park next to the Met. To fill the bags, the City is asking for local businesses to donate promotional items like cups, pens, memo pads, buttons, letter openers and barbecue sauce.
Items can be dropped off with Darlene Pate at the Hoover Public Works Department until May 9 at 4 p.m. Public Works is located in the Hoover Public Safety Center, 2020 Valleydale Road, Suite 111.
