Hoover Police have arrested as suspect after attempting to conduct a traffic stop on March 26 in the Green Springs area. The suspect was a wanted felon and and fled his car on foot after police attempted to stop him. The individual was wanted for failure to appear for a bond revocation hearing. He was out on bond charges stemming from a January arrest in Hoover.
On Jan. 24, the suspect broke down a door to gain entry to an apartment in the 3201 building of Spring Aire Court. He was attempting to assault an adult female when a friend of the female stabbed the suspect multiple times. He was apprehended at the scene and transported to a locak hospital with non-life threatening injuries. He was released later the same day and taken to the Hoover City Jail. He was charged as follows:

- Domestic Violence/Burglary 2nd degree - $40,000 bond
Jones was arrested again by Hoover officers on Feb. 18. He was charged in connection with another domestic violence incident that occurred on Feb. 17.
- Domestic Violence/Harassing Communications - $1,000 bond
Additional warrants were obtained Wednesday, April 1 at the Jefferson County District Attorney's Office, in reference to the traffic stop on March 26. The suspect's new charges are:
- Receiving stolen property - $10,000 bond
- Unlawful possession of a controlled substance (cocaine) - $10,000 bond
- Attempting to elude - $300 bond
- Unlawful possession of marijuana 2nd degree - $300 bond
- Carrying pistol without license - $300 bond
Jones has remained in the Jefferson County Jail since his arrest on March 26. He also has a no-bond for the failure to appear on the bond revocation hearing.
