SEC Baseball Tournament

Texas A&M won the SEC Baseball Tournament with a 12-5 win over Florida on Sunday afternoon at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium.
In the title game, the Aggies held a 3-2 lead after three innings, before the Gators tied the score in the fourth and took a 5-3 edge after the sixth. Texas A&M broke the game open with nine runs over the seventh and eighth innings to take home the win.
The Aggies began play in the tournament on Wednesday, after receiving the No. 3 seed and a first-round bye, and won four consecutive games to win the tournament after falling to Vanderbilt in its first game.
The tournament set a record for fans, with a total attendance of 150,064.
Outfielder Nick Banks of Texas A&M was named the tournament MVP, as he led all players with three home runs, eight runs scored and 20 total bases.
In the double elimination tournament, Texas A&M defeated Vanderbilt, South Carolina and Ole Miss to reach the final game Sunday.
Florida lost to LSU in its first game of the tournament, but knocked off Alabama, Mississippi State and LSU to rebound and reach the championship.
No. 9 Alabama took a 5-2 win over No. 8 Kentucky to start their tournament run on Tuesday, before drawing top-seeded Mississippi State. The Crimson Tide fell in that game, 4-1, on Wednesday and dropped a 5-4 decision to Florida on Thursday.
Auburn and Arkansas were the two teams not to qualify for the SEC Tournament.
