Members of the Hoover Belles prepared and served meals at the Ronald McDonald House.
The heart of the Hoover Belle Program is community service, and eight senior Hoover Belles recently took this commitment quite seriously.
Community service is not always glamorous, as all young ladies who are members of this organization experience as they share their time and energy with others in many different settings. Recently, eight Spain Park High School and Briarwood Christian School seniors shared their time serving a meal to families staying at the Ronald McDonald House, whose children are patients at Children’s Hospital of Alabama.
The Belles shopped for the ingredients and then prepared and served the meal to the families. The Ronald McDonald House cares for up to 73 guest families every night, keeping them together while their children receive medical treatment.
The Hoover Belles who volunteered to participate in this project were Noel Rengering, Allie Couch, Morgan Vanlandingham, Gracie Alspach, Madison Ellis, Emma Kate King, Emily Hagood and Audrey Colabrese.
