Fairy Tale Ball
Attendees at last year's Fairy Tale Ball.
The 10th annual Fairy Tale Ball is right around the corner, and this year, it’s closer than ever. The semi-formal fundraiser gala will be hosted at the Embassy Suites on John Hawkins Parkway in Hoover on Saturday, August 27.
The semi-formal event will feature music, dancing, food and fairy tale characters for adults and children of all ages. In addition to standard princes and princesses, Star Wars characters and Marvel superheroes will be in attendance. This year, children will have access to a game truck, magic shows, a candy bar and face painting. Adults can participate in a silent auction of donated items, services, sports tickets and vacation getaways, and enjoy adult drinks.
Each year the Fairy Tale Ball raises money for Childcare Resources, a non-profit partner agency of United Way of Central Alabama that strives to ensure that all children receive quality care and education. The organization provides information, education and assistance to families, childcare providers and the community, in order to promote better childcare. In their effort to provide quality, affordable childcare, Childcare Resources focuses on training childcare professionals, providing financial assistance for low-to-moderate income working families, resources and referral for families seeking childcare, and parent education.
The event will last from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. and will be held in the Hoover River Ballroom of the Embassy Suites Hotel in Hoover. Tickets are $200 for a family of four, with two adults and two children. Additional child tickets are $20, and an individual adult ticket is $90. Children under two do not need a ticket. To purchase tickets call 205-940-0018 ext. 306 or click here.
