Three teenagers were charged in the June 9 robbery of a Shell Station on John Hawkins Parkway.
The first arrest warrant for Kalan Jamal Phillips, 16, was obtained June 11 and Phillips was arrested on June 12 at a residence off of 11th Avenue North in Bessemer. He was charged as an adult with first degree robbery, and bond was set at $100,000.
A 14-year-old male was arrested June 20 by Birmingham Police Department officers. A juvenile petition was signed June 22, charging the 14-year-old with first degree robbery.
A third suspect, 18-year-old Joshlin Cobb, remains at large. He has also been charged with first degree robbery. Bond is set for $50,000.
The Bessemer and Birmingham police departments and Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department played a role in the investigation.
