A 15-year-old teen was shot in the buttocks when walking with his friends Monday night, according to Hoover Police.
Capt. Gregg Rector said the victim reported they were walking up the hill toward The Abbey at Wisteria Crest, now Elevation Hoover, apartments on Little Valley Road when a carload of men drove up. The three teenagers and the men in the car had some sort of verbal altercation, the victim said, and when they turned to run off, the men in the car started shooting.
The men shot at them several times, and the victim said he was hit once. His injury was on his buttocks, Rector said.
Hoover Police are investigating the incident, and The Hoover Sun will provide updates as more information is released.
