The City of Hoover will hold a Shred Day this month, giving residents an opportunity to clear their homes and businesses of unwanted documents.
On Saturday, March 22 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., the public is invited to bring up to six boxes of personal documents and have them shredded by an on-site, certified Cintas employee.
According to the City of Hoover website, hooveral.org, documents will be constantly monitored and protected, and a closed circuit video camera inside the shredder will allow residents to see their documents as they are being destroyed.
There is no need to remove rubber bands, paper clips or staples from the documents.
The free event is slated for 100 Corporate Parkway, located southbound on U.S. 280 between Valleydale Road and Cahaba Valley Road in Hoover. The area will be clearly visible with traffic coordinators posted for efficiency.
