The first phase of the 499-home Lake Wilborn community at the end of Stadium Trace Parkway is now proposed to contain 57 lots.
Homebuilder Jonathan Belcher is scheduled to come back to the Hoover Planning and Zoning Commission tonight to request approval of preliminary plans for the first phase of the 499-home Lake Wilborn community off Stadium Trace Parkway.
The property begins where Stadium Trace Parkway now ends just a little past the entrance to Bumpus Middle School.
After some design changes from earlier this year, new plans call for the first phase to contain 57 residential lots instead of 93 lots, as proposed in December.
Preliminary drawings submitted to the city of Hoover show 37 of the lots being about 65 feet wide, while the other 20 would be 85 to 100 feet wide. Lots in the first phase would be anywhere from 100 to 120 feet deep, if approved as submitted.
The property is owned by P.R. Wilborn LLC and is zoned for planned single-family development as part of a planned unit development, or PUD.
The planning board tonight also is scheduled to consider:
- Preliminary plans for a six-lot subdivision on the southeastern side of Al Seier Road at its intersection with Sulphur Springs Road, to be called Highland Corners Block 2. Those lots, as submitted, would be 19,000 to 20,000 square feet, fronting Al Seier Road. The property is zoned as a single-family district, and the property owners are Sulphur Springs Land Partners LLC and New Castle Construction.

J.R. Adams and Glenn Siddle are requesting approval of final plans for six residential lots on the southeastern side of Al Seier Road at its intersection with Sulpher Springs Road.
- Final plans for two lots at the corner of Stadium Trace Parkway at Brock’s Gap Parkway, to be called the Village at Brock’s Gap. The property is zoned for planned light industrial use, and the property owner is Hoover Family Festival LLC.

Hoover Family Festival is seeking final approval for the Village at Brock's Gap at the northwest corner of Stadium Trace Parkway and Brock's Gap Parkway. The property is zoned planned light industrial.
- A request to allow an event facility with live entertainment for weddings, corporate events and other similar functions and for the sale of alcohol for consumption on the premises at 2034 Little Valley Road. The property is near the entrance to an apartment complex and is zoned as a community business district. The owner is William Gary Beard of Park Crest Properties LLC. Maps submitted to the city show a two-story main building to serve as the grand hall, with 48 parking spaces to the south of the building and 51 parking spaces to the north. Also proposed on the north side is a gate house and garden area, with a pavilion, fountain and area for lawn seating.
