Widening on Highway 150 ramps to I-459 back under way after weather-related delay

Construction widening ramps leading from Alabama 150 to Interstate 459 and other road work designed to improve traffic flow on the major thoroughfare is back under way after a long delay, Hoover City Executive Allen Pate said March 10.

“I’m happy to say that work has finally resumed,” Pate said.  

Pate said the roadwork had been delayed due to bad winter weather and a change in size of traffic poles used by the Alabama Department of Transportation. He said the road improvements to and from Alabama 150 from I-459 are designed to meet traffic needs as development in the area continues to grow.
