Zumba Fun-Raiser
A Zumba Fun-Raiser is planned for Saturday, May 7, in Hoover to raise money and awareness for pediatric brain cancer and children being treated at Children’s of Alabama hospital.
A handful of Zumba instructors will lead the two-hour fitness party at the gym next to Sertoma Park (behind Green Valley Elementary School) from 3 to 5 p.m. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door and can be purchased by visiting http://give.childrensal.org/zumba.
Organizers plan to give out more than a dozen door prizes. Tickets for the door prize drawing are $10 for one or $25 for three.
“This event is a great way to exercise and have fun, while raising awareness about pediatric brain cancer, “ said Sasha Ramini, a nurse practitioner at Children’s and organizer of the event.
