Dozens gathered under the pavilion at Aldridge Gardens for a groundbreaking ceremony of a new Veterans Memorial Arbor to be put in place at the garden's dam. The arbor will be intricately modeled with steel rods and greenery in respect of veterans. Due to rain the ceremony was moved under the pavilion instead of on the waterfront. Captain Robert Beaty from the Mayor's Office said this will be a space to come and reflect on his career and to pray for his family members who are now actively serving our country. The arbor is set to be complete by next Veterans Day, 2016.
