When Deidria King went to the doctor for a checkup and was told she was borderline diabetic, her first thought was, “Oh my gosh, what am I going to do?”
Deidria had started working from home during the pandemic, and like many others who hadn’t ever worked from home before then, she gained weight from sitting at the computer all day, from not moving around as much and from working close to the kitchen.
Then she found Slimfit Weightloss Clinics, which is owned by Star Washington.
“My sister had seen an ad on Facebook about Slimfit, and she was like, ‘I think it’s close to you,’” Deidria said. “It was only $99 to join, so we were like, ‘OK, it won’t hurt to try it.’”
The $99 start up fee included a full health assessment, the first lipotropic injection, a 2-week fat burner, a 2-week appetite suppressant, a 1-week detox and a 1250-calorie meal plan. Star also motivates her clients every day and checks in with them. If her clients are at a standstill with their weight loss journey, Star will try to find a way to help them and push them forward.
Within five months of starting her weight loss journey with Slimfit, Deidria lost 50.5 pounds.
“It was challenging,” Deidria said. “I'm a very picky eater, so I was frustrated because you have to eat lots of chicken and vegetables. Walking four days a week was fine, but drinking the water and finding the right combination of stuff to eat was challenging to get my mind right to make me want to go head on.”
Deidria reached her target weight in September and hasn’t gained weight since then.
“It was a lifestyle change, and I still do the same thing I did with Star,” Deidria said. “I told her I was proud of myself for maintaining it.”
Since seeing results in herself, Deidria has sent six clients to Star.
“You see the results, and then it makes you want to share the news with people,” she said. “Everyone’s different. But if I can do it, you can do it. Everybody I've sent has said how they like her because she motivates you.”
Star said she started as a client first. She struggled losing weight after one of her pregnancies, and before she knew it, she gained 72 pounds.
“I am a product of the product,” Star said. “I want clients to know what makes us different is I know their journey. I've been there. I tell people that when I go to work my job is a ministry because we change and save people’s lives. When they look at me, I'm an inspiration. But I let them know I worked for this. I understand your struggle, and I will be with you through this as you struggle.”
Star said she genuinely loves what she does because she understands it. She knows what day one feels like, and she knows what it feels like to finally reach your weight loss goals. She also loves knowing that she’s helping people save their lives by investing in their health.
“It's such a huge thing to know you will change someone's life today, but that's what I do on a daily basis,” she said.
The $99 start up special won’t last long, Star said. Visit slimfitweightlossclinic.com today to invest in your health.
