Trina Health held a ribbon cutting and open house at its new Hoover location on Tuesday, Sept. 15. Trina Health has centers which offer artificial pancreas treatments for patients with diabetes. There are locations across the country as well as one location in India.
Officials present at the open house included Hoover City Council member Joe Rives, Gov. Robert Bentley.
CEO Ford Gilbert introduced Bentley after expressing his excitement for opening a new location in Alabama. Bentley also answered questions regarding the state budget following the open house and ribbon cutting ceremony.
One topic Bentley addressed was the $100 million being taken from education. He said education would need to work with them to fix the budget issue.
"Education is going to have to come to the table, and I decided that education has not really helped us in this issue," he said. "They needed to come to the table, and if they want to protect their money, they need to help us push taxes. And if they’re not helping us push taxes, then we just move money out of education. They’re not using it anyway right now."
Trina Health's new location is 3829 Lorna Road, Suite 312. For more information, visit trinahealth.com.
