The Boot at Preserve Village closed
Brown paper covers the doors and windows at The Boot at Preserve Village, plus a note saying the restaurant is moving.
The Boot at Preserve Village closed on Sunday and plans to relocate to another site along John Hawkins Parkway near The Grove shopping center, said Mike McCowan, the founder of the restaurant.
The Boot’s five-year lease ended, and “we want a little more space, bigger bar and more parking,” McCowan said. “We’ve just grown the business so much. The place is a little small at The Preserve.”
McCowan said he still hasn’t worked out all the particulars on the new location yet, but “we hope to get back in Hoover as quickly as possible.”
McCowan and his partners, Michael and Michele Burch, opened a second location of The Boot in Brook Highland Plaza off U.S. 280 in May, and it has been very successful so far, he said.
All gift certificates, Groupon deals and rewards for The Boot at Preserve Village will be accepted at The Boot at Brook Highland, according to a sign at the former location in The Preserve.
The Boot is a fast-casual restaurant that serves tacos, salads, sandwiches, burgers and Southern plate meals. It also has a bar.
