National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day is Saturday, Sept. 26.
Hoover Police is participating in the 10th Annual National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day on Saturday, Sept. 26.
Anyone wanting to dispose of prescription drugs can stop by Hoover City Hall from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Police officers will be on site to take back and properly dispose of prescription drugs.
A goal of National Prescription Drug Take-Back day is preventing pill abuse and theft by removing potentially dangers, expired, unused or unwanted prescription drugs.
Liquids, needles and sharp objects will not be accepted. Pills and pouches will be accepted. Disposal of prescription drugs is free and anonymous.
City Hall is located at 100 Municipal Lane. Other collection sites can be found at the DEA website.
