Direct Action is a film that explores a pivotal untold story of the civil rights movement in Birmingham between the years 1961-63. A small group of white lawyers and businessmen met with black leaders to orchestrate historic change in the local government and its segregation laws.
Q&A with filmmaker Tommy V. Wier and retired UAB history professor Dr. Robert G. Corley with reception to follow.
