Hoover pounds Panthers 41-7, Shades Valley next

by

The Hoover Bucs dominated the Huntsville High Panthers 41-7, continuing their undefeated season and advancing to the second round of the state playoffs.

The Bucs never allowed Huntsville to make the game competitive, limiting the Panthers to just nine first downs and 182 yards of total offense.  Nine of the Huntsville possessions resulted in either turnovers or three-and-outs for their offense.

The Bucs offense was equally impressive, averaging over six yards per carry.  Star tailback Bradrick Shaw led the way with 124 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries.  Shaw was joined in the scoring column by Marcus Webb (two touchdowns), Kyler Jackson and Chris Vacarella.

The top ranked Bucs, who are also number three in the USA Today national rankings, continue their march through the playoffs with a clash against the Shades Valley Mounties.
