Hoover boys, girls, Spain Park girls in 7A regional semis Thursday

Hoover's boys and girls basketball teams and the Spain Park girls team are in action Thursday in the Class 7A regional semifinals.

Hoover is competing in the Northwest Regional at Wallace State-Hanceville. Spain Park is in the Northeast Regional at Jacksonville State University.

On the boys side, the Bucs take on Hazel Green at 1:30 p.m. The winner of that game will meet the winner of Tuscaloosa County-Sparkman in the regional final. The Lady Bucs will take on Sparkman at 9 a.m. The winner of that game will face the Thompson-Hazel Green winner.

At Jacksonville, Spain Park will square off with Gadsden City at 9 a.m. at Pete Mathews Coliseum. The winner will face the winner of Mountain Brook-Huntsville.
