Hoover basketball splits with Thompson

In Class 7A, Area 5 play, the Hoover girls basketball team knocked off Thompson, while the boys lost on Friday night.

The boys team lost by a 71-59 score. Jamari Blackmon and Kevy Eason led the Bucs with 13 points apiece. 

The Bucs fell behind 32-20 at the halftime break, and could not get closer in the second half.

The Lady Bucs pulled off a 52-40 win over Thompson.

The Hoover boys are back in action on Monday, as they play Parker in the MLK Roundball Classic at Bill Harris Arena at 5:30 p.m. The boys and girls play at Tuscaloosa County on Tuesday night.
