The Alabama High School Athletic Association announced the completion of reclassification for 2016-2018 on Wednesday.

Reclassification occurs every two years, with the last cycle bringing sweeping changes with the addition of Class 7A. The changes are not as drastic this cycle, but there are slight changes all around.

In football, Class 7A, Region 3 only sees one new face. Huffman replaces Hewitt-Trussville -- the Huskies move to Region 4 -- while Hoover, Spain Park, Vestavia Hills, Oak Mountain, Mountain Brook, Thompson, and Tuscaloosa County all remain.

In all other sports, there are some slight curveballs. Hoover welcomes Vestavia Hills to Area 5, along with Thompson and Tuscaloosa County. Oak Mountain essentially swaps with Vestavia and moves from Area 5 to Area 6, where the Eagles will be with Huffman, Mountain Brook, and Spain Park.
