The Hoover school system has decided to end all after-school activities by 6 p.m. tonight due to the threat of severe weather.

Some athletic events are being rescheduled for earlier times than originally planned, and others could be reset for different days. But “all after-school activities must be completed by 6 p.m.,” according to a statement issued by school system spokesman Jason Gaston.

Spain Park High School’s basketball games vs. Ramsay have been rescheduled for Wednesday night.

The extended day program for Hoover City Schools will run regular hours, closing at 6 p.m.,  Gaston said.
