Riverchase Elementary hosts career day

FBI agents, orthodontists, farmers, engineers and broadcast journalists walked the halls of Riverchase Elementary School Jan. 29.

The school's Career Day gave fifth-grade students the opportunity to meet with working professionals, in small groups, in order to learn more about their careers. Each group of students spent 15 minutes at each of their selected sessions.

Volunteers presented a typical day in their field, the skills necessary to perform their job and answered many questions from the inquisitive fifth-graders. Career Day is an annual event held at Riverchase Elementary.
