To kick off the homecoming season, Spain Park High School held their homecoming the week of Sept. 12-17, 2016. It included a variety of activities for students to participate in to help raise school spirit for the eventual football game against Mountain Brook High School.

The festivities began with the Powder Puff Football Game taking place on Sept. 13. The girls of each grade faced off against each other in flag football with the seniors claiming victory over the juniors in the final game.

Sept. 15 brought the pep rally where the marching band, dance team and cheerleaders performed around a giant bonfire down at Veterans Park.

Homecoming Queen Sarah Lynn Sharpton was crowned at halftime during the Jaguars football game against Mountain Brook on Sept. 16, 2016.

Despite falling to the Spartans 23-21, the dance had students showing off their best moves in the Spain Park High School gym on Sept. 17 to end the weekend on a high note.
