Hoover ranked ninth overall high school in the state

U.S. News ranked Hoover High School ninth in its "Best High Schools in Alabama" rankings.

The rankings were based on students taking the Alabama High School Graduation Exam, which consists entirely of multiple-choice questions. Students must demonstrate specific skills in English, such as citing sources and analyzing plays, and take certain math classes, such as precalculus.
