Hoover High School’s IB program celebrates 19th graduating class

The IB program at Hoover High School celebrated its 19th graduating class on May 17, presenting IB stoles to 30 seniors and IB medals to an additional 14 seniors. The IB stole represents completion of the full IB Diploma, one of the most prestigious academic achievements in the world.  IB Diploma graduates complete six IB courses in their junior and senior years, research and write an extended essay of up to 4,000 words, complete the Theory of Knowledge course, and participate in at least 150 hours of creativity, activity and community service. IB courses students complete at least two IB courses in their junior or senior years.
