Riverchase Elementary to celebrate garden with ribbon cutting
Riverchase Elementary School is celebrating a growing garden.
On Friday, Aug. 28, the school is hosting a ribbon cutting to show off changes to its garden. Some improvements include an arbor, umbrella stands and pavers for a walkway that were made by local Eagle Scout Woody Shin.
The Hoover Beautification Board, which provided Riverchase Elementary School with a grant for the garden, will attend the ribbon cutting. The superintendent, school board, city council members and two grandparent volunteers will also be present.
The ribbon cutting is tomorrow at 2 p.m.
