Bluff Park students learn about wheelchair basketball

Members of Bluff Park Elementary’s second-grade class recently visited the Lakeshore Foundation to the attend U.S. Women’s Wheelchair Basketball Training Camp.

The 120 students met team members, learned about adaptive sports and watched a game. They were invited as part of the foundation’s School Sport Project to teach children about inclusion, problem solving and adaptive sports. As participants in the School Sport Project, the students will be incorporating their learning about wheelchair basketball into their school year.
