Whispers from the Past brings Native American culture to Hoover

Aldridge Gardens hosted its annual Whispers from the Past on Oct. 1. The event included performances by the Medicine Tail Dancers and demonstrations of activities like lacrosse, leaf pounding, flintknapping, storytelling and fishing.

The day also included the chance to try traditional Native American food, buy souvenirs and learn about the lives of Native Americans in Alabama through a collection presented by UAB archaeology students.
