Sam Swiney will try to unseat Gene Smith in Hoover City Council Place 2

Sam Swiney, a Bluff Park resident who announced this spring he was running for Hoover City Council, today declared his intention to seek Council Place 2, now held by Gene Smith.

Qualifying for the Aug. 23 election starts July 5 and continues through July 19.
