Garden club hosts plant swap

The Heatherwood Garden Club met in October at the home of Gail Greene. Members who attended the meeting brought a cutting or plant from their gardens to share with the other members. There were various varieties of Iris, lilies, ground covers and ivies. The members shared information regarding how to grow each plant and the care necessary though the year.

Members also discussed the annual flower show hosted by the Botanical Gardens, and several members will participate with flower arrangements for the show.

The club will also participate in several local activities during the year. After eating lunch prepared by hostesses Gail Greene and Janice Rhodes, everyone took their beautiful plants and flowers home to test their green thumbs.
