Cherry-Wynn

Abraham  Jr. and Pandora Cherry of Hoover are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Nicole Cherry, to Paul Wynn Jr., son of Mrs. Shirley Jones and the late Paul Wynn Sr. of Tuscaloosa.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Cora Lee Bryant Williams and the late James Williams Sr.,  Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Cherry Sr., and Ms. Matilda Gregg. Ashley graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in Industrial Engineering. She attended Hoover High School. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. While at the University of Alabama she was the President of the NAACP, a member of National Society of Black Engineers and received the Lucy Foster Award. Ashley is the founder of a non-profit organization called Little Ladies Inc., an organization empowering young girls to become powerful women. Ashley is currently employed with Mercedes Benz in Vance, Ala. as a specialist. 

The prospective groom is the grandson of Odella Leatherwood and the late Albert Leatherwood and the late William and Alberta Wynn. Paul is a graduate of the University of Alabama with a degree in Communication Studies. He attended Northridge High School. He was a member of the Track and Field at the University of Alabama. He is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. Paul is currently employed at Frito Lay as a District Sales Manager and serves in the National Guard as aFirst Lieutenant.

The wedding is scheduled for March 28, 2015.
