Hoover police are seeking the public's help to find a 24-year-old woman they say took $40,000 in cash from the Walmart Neighborhood Market where she worked on Lorna Road.

Video evidence shows Adrienne Renae Thomas taking the money on Nov. 21, police said. After management discovered the theft, Thomas left the store and has not returned, police said.

Detectives obtained a warrant for her arrest last week. The warrant is for felony first-degree property theft. Police have not been able to locate Thomas.

She has family on Dartmouth Avenue in Bessemer but also has family in Detroit, Mich., police said.

Police ask that anyone with information about Thomas’ whereabouts call their local law enforcement agency and tell them there is an active warrant for Thomas. Anyone with information can also call Crime Stoppers at 254-7777.
