Video from Aug. 16 Hoover election forum now available
The forum featured all three of the candidates vying for mayor and all 15 of the candidates seeking the seven seats on the Hoover City Council. The event was held at the Hyatt Regency Birmingham — The Wynfrey Hotel and drew about 350 to 400 spectators.
The linked video was done by the Hoover High School broadcasting department. The very beginning of the forum, including opening statements by the candidates for Hoover City Council Place 1 and some of the answers to the first question, is not shown here due to some technical difficulties.
However, the entire forum was captured in two videos shown live and archived on the Hoover Sun Facebook page. This additional video is being made available for people who are not on Facebook.
Hoover residents go the polls on Aug. 23 to choose their mayor and select their pick in all seven places on the Hoover City Council. There are no geographic districts in Hoover.
