On Jan. 28, an unknown suspect entered the men’s locker room at 24e Fitness at 1550 Montgomery Highway. This individual stole a set of keys from a locker and then unlawfully entered a vehicle in the parking lot.

A 9mm handgun and credit cards were stolen from the victim’s car. Surveillance video from the fitness center captured this subject as he entered the facility. Those images were posted on Hoover Police social media sites and Crime Stoppers.

Citizen tips lead to this suspect being identified as 35-year-old Greg Alan McDonald. A warrant was obtained last week charging him with the following:

Greg Alan McDonald, 35, Homewood

Additional charges are pending in reference to illegal credit card usage.

Officers have not yet been able to locate McDonald. He has been known to frequent the Leeds, Moody and Homewood areas. Anyone with information concerning his whereabouts should call Hoover Detective Drew Mims at 739-7274 or Crime Stoppers of Metro Alabama at 254-7777. You may also call the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department warrant detail at 325-5725.
