Secretary of law to speak at chamber luncheon

The Hoover Chamber of Commerce will host this month's luncheon on Thursday, June 18. This month's featured speaker is Secretary Spencer Collier of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA). 

The newly created ALEA consolidated 12 state law enforcement agencies and functions into one organization. 

Collier joined Governor Robert Bentley's cabinet in January 2011 as Director of the Department of Homeland Security. As secretary, he assumed responsibility of the state's homeland security mission. 

Collier is a former member of the Alabama House of Representatives, a seasoned law enforcement officer and graduate of Naval Postgraduate School's Center of Homeland Defense and Security Executive Leaders Program. 

The luncheon will be held at the Hoover Country Club. Networking will being at 11:15 a.m. with the program starting at noon. Lunch is $20 with a reservation and $22 without reservations. Call 988-5672 or email admin@hooverchamber.org for reservations.
