UPDATE: Police identify suspect in attempted Target theft

UPDATE: Hoover Police identified the suspect in a theft a the Target at the Grove. Police report the suspect was identified around 30 minutes after police posted the suspect's photo to their Facebook page.

A suspect attempted to steal $650 worth of electronics from the Target at the Grove shopping center, and Hoover Police are requesting help identifying him. The attempted theft occurred Thursday, Sept. 3 at 5:10 p.m.

The suspect reportedly fought with the store’s security personnel, who tried to detain him. He was able to escape and leave the scene in an unknown car.
