The rain only lasted the first hour of Hoover's 4th of July celebration at the Hoover Metropolitan Stadium. As the precipitation let up around 6 p.m., more made it out to Freedom Fest 2015 to see performances from Jessie Pitts, season 7 top 12 finalist of The Voice and 2013 graduate of Hoover's Spain Park High School, and from Nashville, Tennessee, band Native Run.

Jessie Pitts took the stage at 6:30 p.m. and performed a mix of covers and original songs. Native Run performed an hour later and closed the show, which was then followed by a 10-minute fire works show.

Children play areas were open on both ends of the Hoover Met with inflatables, face painting and balloons. Show cars did not arrive until later in the evening and mostly featured Ford Mustangs.
