New Supercuts opens at The Crossings

A new Supercuts opened in The Crossings at Hoover Thursday, July 16.

Following a ribbon cutting ceremony on July 24, the salon will offer $5.99 haircuts through Aug. 23.

“[The $5.99 haircuts] are pretty aggressive on our part, but the bottom line is we really are different, and you can say that all day long, but until people come in and try it and see what a nice salon it is, they won’t know,” Howard said.

Howard said customers who get their haircut during the grand opening celebration will be entered into a raffle for an iPad mini. Amazon gift cards will also be given away as smaller prizes.

The Crossings offered a good area for the salon, Howard said, because of surrounding neighborhoods as well as a growing population.

The salon will open with five stylists, but Howard said he plans to hire more in upcoming weeks. To maintain quality of experience, Howard said each stylist must gain certification through Supercuts.

“We’re really big on training, and we give more training to stylists than any other chain,” Howard said.

Same-day appointments and walk-ins are accepted, and the salon plans to start offering coloring services in the next few months, Howard said.
