A 49-year-old man is wanted for stealing a truck from his coworker and never returning it.

Robert Earl Burris Jr. has active warrants with the Hoover Police Department, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department and Mountain Brook Police Department. He formerly worked in the kitchen of a Patton Creek restaurant.

Burris reportedly borrowed the truck from his coworker on May 5. There were golf clubs in the truck belonging to the victim, which Burris later pawned. A felony warrant for receiving stolen property was obtained on May 26. There is also a misdemeanor warrant for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle out for Burris in Hoover.

The stolen truck was located, but police have not been able to locate Burris. Police advise he has family that lives in the 3700 block of Locksley Drive in Mountain Brook. Anyone with information about Burris’ whereabouts should contact their local law enforcement agency.
