Fourth of July affects city hours, services

While Hoover families are enjoying barbecues and fireworks, city employees will also have the day off for the Fourth of July.

City hall will be closed all day on Monday, July 4, resuming normal hours on Tuesday, July 5. Garbage pickup will be delayed by one day throughout the week, returning to the regular schedule on Monday, July 11. Visit hooveralabama.gov for more information.

The city pool will also be closed on July 4, resuming its regular hours on July 5. The Hoover pool's hours are 5 a.m.-9:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 5 a.m.-9 p.m. Friday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and 1-6 p.m. Sunday.
