Hunter Street to hold Gospel Conference
The Gospel Conference, May 5-8 at Hunter Street Baptist Church, will highlight the gospel of Jesus Christ and what it means for Christians to live the gospel in their everyday lives. The conference is open to those in the community interested in learning what it means to live a gospel-centered life.

The conference begins Sunday, May 5 with Dr. Bruce Ashford of Southeastern Seminary preaching at 8, 9:30 and 11 a.m. Praise 150, a worship event, will be held at 6 p.m. in the Sanctuary. Before and after Praise 150 participants are encouraged to visit the GO Expo, an exhibit of missions destinations and ministry opportunities.
The Monday through Wednesday schedule will include dinner, served 4:45 to 6:15 p.m. All meals must be pre-purchased online. Guest speakers will also be featured nightly. Breakout sessions on a variety of conference related topics will be offered each evening.
On Monday, May 6, Aaron Coe, vice president of mobilization of the North American Mission Board, will speak at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary.
On Tuesday, May 7, a prayer breakfast and prayer lunch will be held. Breakfast or lunch meals must be purchased in advance. The guest speaker is Dr. Gordon Fort, vice president of the Office of Global Strategy with the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. Also on Tuesday, Barry Cheesman of Illford High Road Baptist Church in London will speak at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary.
On Wednesday, May 8, Dr. Russell D. Moore will speak at 6:30 p.m. in the sanctuary. Dr. Moore is president-elect of the Southern Baptist Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission. Presently he serves as Dean of the School of Theology and Senior Vice President for Academic Administration at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he also serves as Professor of Christian Theology and Ethics.
The Gospel Conference is for children, too. Children ages 2 through grade 4 will meet missionaries, participate in hands-on projects, taste food from other countries and more. Children grades 5 through high school will have special breakout sessions and will attend the main conference worship times. Childcare for birth to age 5 is available each night, but all children must be pre-registered.
