The 19th-annual HOT ROD Magazine Power Tour presented by Chevrolet Performance is coming to the Hoover Met for the first time since 2010.

The high-end automotive tour will stop in seven cities in seven days. On Wednesday, June 5, the tour pulls into the Hoover Metropolitan Stadium to showcase its automotive eye candy.

The event goes from noon-7 p.m. where spectators will be admitted free to witness the show of thousands of show cars and traveling exhibits.

"We're very excited to be hosting a return visit of the HOT ROD Magazine Power Tour," Mayor Gary Ivey said. "The City of Hoover is dedicated to bringing events like the Power Tour into our great city as a way to expose new people to the city's wonderful attractions in hopes that they return with their friends and families for another visit."

Spectators get in free to the tour but there is a fee to register a vehicle for the one-day event. Pre-registration is $80 plus a $3.50 handling fee, and a $90 fee for cars registered on site of the event. Registration is open to any year, make or model of vehicle.

For more information or to pre-register a vehicle, visit hotrod.com, or call (877) 413-6515.
