Three arrested in Hoover prostitution sting

On Thursday Jan. 8, Hoover officers conducted an undercover prostitution detail at a Riverchase Hotel. The La Quinta Inn, located at 120 Riverchase Parkway East has been the source of prostitution related complaints in the past. The three women arrested during the Thursday operation were charged with prostitution. They were booked into the Hoover City Jail and were all released by 11:30 a.m. on Jan. 9, after posting $1,000 bond each.

Prostitution activity at La Quinta and other locations have produced complaints that include a variety of crimes. Police have investigated illegal drugs, thefts, burglaries, robberies and rapes that can all be directly linked to prostitution. In the coming weeks and months, Hoover Police uniformed and undercover officers will be focusing on areas identified as locations that are frequented by prostitutes. Individuals who solicit the services of prostitutes will also be targeted for arrest.

The three individuals arrested were:

Brittnee Sloane Brooks, 27, Easley, S.C.

Areannia D'Asia Cottonham, 19, Birmingham

Zannia Ayala, 32, Hoover
